Risks And Mitigations
Investing in stocks is not a risk-free proposition. The possibility of losing money, including your entire investment, is a fundamental characteristic of ownership of a stock. The use of StockTell as an investment research tool comes with its own risks. We request subscribers to be aware of these risks and keep potential mitigations in mind when using StockTell.
- Insights shared on this website are generated by software and are not vetted by financial analysts. While we expect StockTell’ investment recommendations to be useful overall, the responsibility of independently verifying recommendations before risking capital lies with individual subscribers.
- While StockTell’s historical performance has been impressive, its future performance is not guaranteed. Furthermore, while StockTell has undergone rigorous testing, bugs in software or financial data quality issues could lead to erroneous recommendations, and incorrect modeling assumptions could lead to suboptimal decisions under current or future market environments. In short, StockTell may recommend stocks that lose value. We believe this risk can be mitigated through:
- Independent analyses of StockTell’s recommendations by individual subscribers.
- Diversifying and not making skewed outsized bets on individual stock recommendations.
